This beautiful apartment couldn’t be in a better position. Situated in Lyme bay at the centre of the Jurassic coast, East Devon, a UNESCO World Heritage site with direct private access to the Marina and beach.
Harbour Retreat makes the most of its dramatic location with huge windows to frame the picture postcard views over the historic harbour at the mouth of the river Axe. A short walk up-stream brings you to the village of Axmouth with its thatched cottages and 13th century church. Here you will find two pictureques pubs one of which, the Harbour Inn, serves excellent food. Or head West along the beach to the Victorian seaside town of Seaton with a range of traditional shops and restaurants including award winning fish and chips and a delicatessen full of locally sourced goodies.
The fishing village of Beer is a further (not too challenging) 2 miles along a spectacular stretch of the south west coast path. For the more energetic Lyme Regis is 6 miles in the opposite direction following the very different but equally spectacular Undercliff section of this same path. Alternatively 15 minutes by car will transport you to Lymes bustling harbour, unique shops and fabulous restaurants including Mark Hix fish and Oyster House.

Bedroom
French style furnishing, creative lighting and a bespoke four poster king size bed make a romantic and relaxing bedroom with views of the beach and cliffs at Beer Head. The chaise lounge has cosy throws and a selection of magazines and books are provided for you to enjoy during your stay.
Bathroom
The shower room has recently been remodelled, offering a modern shower enclosure, basin, lavatory and heated towel rail.There is lots of storage and a seperate make-up area with bespoke lighting. Fluffy towels and luxury toiletries are provided.
Kitchen
The modern, spacious kitchen overlooks the harbour and cliffs and is fully equipped with an electric cooker, the fully integrated appliances include a washer/dryer, fridge, freezer and microwave. To make the most of the stunning harbour views there is a high level breakfast bar with comfy leather topped stools.We include all the crockery and utensils you could possibly need plus those extras that make meals for two a little bit special.
Lounge
The sitting room has soft, Italian leather seating and variable lighting and a wonderful window seat with harbour side and estuary views. There is a flame effect fire , digital TV, a DVD and CD player together with a small selection of discs to enjoy during your stay.
Dining Area
Open plan with the lounge this is equipped for dining in style with friends. On arrival you will find the table already prepared for a welcoming tea complete with scones Devon clotted cream and chocolate cake. All you have to do is boil the kettle! And if you don't feel like cooking on your first night we will leave you the menus for the Indian and Chinese take-aways both excellent and both deliver.
Pampering on arrival
All guests are greeted with a welcoming cream tea. The bed is made up with good quality linens, towels and toiletries will be waiting for you in the bathroom and off-season the central heating will be set to ensure a warm welcome. In addition we provide beach towels - with the surf so close who can resist a paddle.
All linen and towels, utilities and heating are inclusive, and the apartment has its own off road parking space at the front.
There is a private entrance and a well planned hallway separates the rooms.
